I've just returned from Alan Forrest Smith's Mega Masterclass. Wow! What an amazing few days! Hard to know where to start with all the things that I got out of it... Learning from the amazing Jerry Hart and Shaune Clarke for the first time, and learning more than I ever have before from the just-as-amazing Alan Forrest Smith, Kirt Christensen, Stephen Pierce, Paul Fugle, Philly Richards, Maria Davies, and Mike Stewart. Meeting friends old and new. Being challenged and inspired by both.
I have learnt so much, I hardly know where to begin.
Some of the highlights for me...
Jerry, creative marketer extrodinnaire: great tips about traffic and all the many ways to generate it for free; researching your market through discussion groups; viral eBooks.
Alan, the master copywriter: "Does your website have that 5 second brain busting moment?", and how to get it.
Kirt, the adwords guru: how to really get your adwords campaigns working, and how to tweak them to peak performance using advanced Taguchi testing.
Stephen, the optimizer: amazing business coaching, good for both online and offline businesses. Stephen also challenged us not to do what is so easy to do after a seminar, which is nothing! Actions produce results.
Paul and Philly, of TotalBusinessCart: providing the shopping cart that no serious online business should do without, and the "Can You Just..." service, which provides the resources for all those "I'm stuck - can you just..." moments.
Shaune Clarke, the intimate interviewer, who opened our eyes to the power of interview as a tool, asking the right questions at the right time. This guy was so passionate about his stuff that I was part of the scrum down at the front to buy his product at the end. Amazing!
Maria Davies, professional speaker and sales presenter, on the power of presentations. Maria was her usual graceful and entertaining self, giving great tips on presentation skills and how they can be used in all areas of your life.
Mike Stewart, the internet audio and video guy: demonstrating how easy it is to add audio and video to your website, and just how much they can increase the conversion rates.
I have learnt enough from each one of the presenters to more than justify the cost of the entire event.
In addition to all this, I also had the opportunity to spend time with the folk at the Masterclass, and what a wonderful and inspiring bunch they were! For me, at least half of the power of seminars and training is to spend time with like-minded, positive people. Some are just starting out, some on their way up, some already there, and they're all fabulous to be around.
So, a huge thank you to Alan for organising an amazing event, to the speakers for giving so much of their knowledge expertise, and to all of you that were there. I hope to see you all again soon, and wish you all the success in the world!
Hi Sarah,
Virtual hugs from Oni B!
Glad to hear the Alan Forrest Smith Seminar was awesome. It sounds really good. So having read your last entry I've signed up for the internet bootcamp on 21/22nd October.
I look forward to hearing more from you when we meet up there.
Hope other things are good and you're staying out of trouble and starting to make some money out of your learnings.
I'm going to the NLP practice group tonight so might see you there, if not I'll let you know the latest on Innner Compass as Andy is doing the session.
Love and hugs again,
Yours Oni B
