I've just returned from Tony & Nicki Vee's Ultimate Intimate Relationship workshop at the Happy House in Austria. I can't begin to tell you what an amazing few days I had. Well, OK, I can and I will! I was lucky enough to be at the Happy House for New Year, as mentioned on a previous post, so I had had a little taster of what was to come. This time, I was chuffed to bits to find that I already knew a few of the folk who were going: Gen from my NLP Practitioner training, Nicola from my Moativational Medicine training, and Jane, one of the founders of the Oxford Yes Group. Are you spotting a pattern here? The personal development world is a small one! Jane and I shared a lift to the airport, where we met up with Gen and her partner, Ken, before heading through security. We bumped into Nicola a little later by the first of our many boarding gates...
We flew out of Stansted the day after the snows had closed the runway for the best part of a day, so there were quite a few delays and re-arrangements, including the change of our boarding gate 3 times. This was a classic example of choosing how you decide to react to an event making all the difference: we were having a good giggle over the whole thing, and at least it wasn't boring! There were a few folk around us who joined in out laughter, and wouldn't you just know it - a couple of them were on their way to the Happy House too, so that was a good start to the trip.
We were greeted at the airport by Tony, Nicki and Andy, their operations manager, where we also met up with the remainder of our group. After hugs all round, we were shown to the cars and driven off to the Happy House. The lovely Rosa was at the house to greet us and settle us in with a choice of herbal and fruit teas, then we snuggled down on the sofas in the sitting room after dinner and got straight into sharing our reasons for being there. The evening went on with a few discussions and surprises, and culminated with us each creating our own personal incantations.
Saturday dawned, and we were woken gently with a cup of hot water and lemon, a great way to start the day. We met up downstairs and were handed water or Supergreens depending on preferences before starting our first Happy House Workout, which involved bouncing around on rebounders, singing along to the music, and then going on to practice our incantations with feedback from the group. A few postural exercises and very tasty and healthy brunch were followed by a walk up to the Happy Tree, with some very interesting chats along the way. Back for another workshop about living in the green or the red (you'll have to go there to find out what that's all about), then some free time to lounge in the spa (jacuzzi for me!). Dinner was delicious, after which we curled up back on the sofas to watch a fantastic movie before heading off to bed.
Sunday and Monday went on along similar veins - lots of content in various workshops and walks, lots of sharing, lots of unbelievable honesty from what I can only describe as a totally awesome group, and lots of learnings about ourselves and each other. I had a ton of light-bulb and ah-ha moments, and came away feeling absolutely brilliant and positive about my future. I'm ready to meet the man of my dreams - I know he is just ahead of me on my path, holding his hand out for me to take, and I know that I am now ready to do so.
And that awesome bunch of people? Well we're already planning our first reunion for the beginning of May in Spain, with others to follow in the UK and Ireland - got to make the most of the various locations, after all!
I'm heading back to the Happy House soon, too, for Tony & Nicki's Advanced Coaching Course in June. I'm also looking forward to attending the remainder of their advanced training hand-in-hand with my man. I can't wait.
