I am a Social Butterfly!

I have to say that I absolutely love my friends, slightly warped senses of humour and all!  They organised the most amazing birthday party for me on Saturday, complete with balloons, banners and cakes.  What they also did was dress me up. It's been a long standing joke with my friends that I'm a bit of a social butterfly: I flit from group to group and chat to the world.  So on Saturday they made it official.  Here I am, all dressed up with somewhere to go *grin*.  What a wonderful bunch of people they are, and I can't think why they thought I'd kill them for it - I thought it was brilliant!  All I can say is that if everyone there had half as good a time as I did, we all had a ball.  I'd like to say a big huge thank you to all the friends and family that helped me to celebrate reaching fabulous 40 - you are magnificent and I love you all!

And I've just about finished vacuuming up all the glitter that made it back to my house for the party after the party!

Fabulously 40 and Firewalks!

It's here, the day has finally dawned, and I am now officially fabulously 40  It seems pretty amazing to me to have reached this fab age and still feel like a little girl inside for so much of the time.  I remember when I was a little girl and 40 seemed unbelievably old, and now it seems so young.  It's all relative, just like the passage of time generally: do you remember when you would break up for the Summer holidays from school, and those long weeks would seem like a lifetime?  These days you suddenly realise that another week, month or year has passed in what seems like the blinking of an eye...

Top of the Table Topics

It's been quite a day: I "officially" launched my therapy business at my Athena networking lunch today, which went fabulously.  I had a great call with my coach, who is chuffed to bits that I've finally gotten my website up and running (and had a few suggestions of course).  And then to top it all off nicely, I went along to my local Toastmasters group, the Ridgeway Speakers Club, and won the prize for the best Table Topic speech.  Not bad considering I was still a guest for my second meeting - perhaps now I should actually join?!

Despite a slight case of sleep deprivation after the late night (or should that be early morning) putting the finishing touches to the website last night, today has to be down as a pretty darned near perfect day!  Long may they reign.

New website up and running!

It's here, after much blood, sweat and tears (metaphorically speaking!) - my new website: Ladies and Gentlemen, may I proudly present (drum roll please...) http://www.SarahJGreen.com

It's been a time getting here - for some reason, I've struggled with the wording, and I've struggled with the format.  In fact, I've just struggled with it full stop!  Finally the struggle is over, and that makes it so much more rewarding.  It's still in its formative stages, and I'm sure many changes will follow, and still, it's out there - woo-hoo!

So now I'm off to bed before an early start for a breakfast business networking meeting first thing, followed by a networking lunch.  This is where I "officially" launch my life-changing therapy business - I've been working part-time at it for some time - now it gets serious.  At least I won't be hungry *grin*

Happy Times at the Happy House

I've just returned from Tony & Nicki Vee's Ultimate Intimate Relationship workshop at the Happy House in Austria.  I can't begin to tell you what an amazing few days I had.  Well, OK, I can and I will!  I was lucky enough to be at the Happy House for New Year, as mentioned on a previous post, so I had had a little taster of what was to come.  This time, I was chuffed to bits to find that I already knew a few of the folk who were going: Gen from my NLP Practitioner training, Nicola from my Moativational Medicine training, and Jane, one of the founders of the Oxford Yes Group.  Are you spotting a pattern here?  The personal development world is a small one!  Jane and I shared a lift to the airport, where we met up with Gen and her partner, Ken, before heading through security.  We bumped into Nicola a little later by the first of our many boarding gates...

Hard work brings its rewards!

Sunday dawned, bright, clear, and most of all, sunny.  Thoughts of going out for a nice walk in the sunshine crossed my mind.  Then I noticed it: the sunlight streaming in through the windows.  Shining on the dust.  Shining on the dirty windows.  Shining on the general grubbliness of it all.  It was no good, I'd have to clean.  And clean I did.  Have you ever done this?  I'll just clean this bit here, and then you've created a clean patch, which shows up how grubby everything that you haven't cleaned is, so you have to get stuck in to that too.  And so it goes on...

Another hectic week - hurrah!

So just what have I been up to this week?  A bit of culture at the theatre, dahlings, an inspiring evening at the London Yes Group seeing Bob Proctor speak after a breakthrough session with a new client, a meeting with the caretakers of a military museum to discuss installing a new computer network for them to keep their catalogue on, a rowdy night out at the pub having a good boogy to a local band, and a quiet night in having a good old chinwag with a couple of amazing ladies I met through the Money Gym.  Bit of a mixed bag, and I've loved every minute of it!

To coin one of Bob Proctor's sayings, "I am so happy and grateful now that..." I have the most amazing life, filled with friends and variety, love and good old fashioned fun.  Would I change a thing?  Nope, I'm just enjoying the ride!
