I spent last weekend at Christopher Howard's Breakthrough to Success, which was a great weekend. Apart from meeting up with a lot of friends, which is always wonderful, I met a few new ones. To me it's worth going to trainings and seminars on a regular basis just to spend time with like-minded people! It always gives me a massive energy boost.
And now for the seminar itself...
I was particularly interested to see Christopher Howard for a couple of reasons: I had heard very good things from people who'd already seen him, and I wanted to see another NLP-type bod in action having done all of my training with Andy Harrison and Topher Morrison up till now. Andy and Topher have very different styles, and I am looking forward to learning from the two of them together at the upcoming NLP Trainers Training. Christopher has a different style again, which to me seemed somewhere between the other two. His style was quite conversational, and it was interesting to hear him explain some of the principles of NLP in a slightly different way. I am starting to wonder if there is a set pool of metaphors and stories that they all draw on, though, as there was definitely some duplication!
Content-wise, there was a lot covered, and I had a couple of lightbulb moments whilst going through some of the processes. I found the Huna-based "Cutting Energetic Ties" process particularly powerful. There were a lot of sales pushes, pretty much at the end of each session just before the breaks, and as the weekend was free, I think that's fair enough - they are there as a business to make money, after all! There were some good deals on offer, and if I hadn't already done much of the training with Andy and Inner Compass, I might have been tempted to sign up for some courses. I did buy the CD pack to accompany the weekend at their ridiculously low offer price, and may well look into attending one of their other courses at a later date, particularly if I can swing going to it in Hawaii! Why not combine my love of seminars and training with my love of travel, I say *grin*
Was it life-changing? Not as much for me as Fire Your Desire from Inner Compass, and then that may just be because there was so much less "stuff" left to be sorted after the last year's journey. Or maybe I just missed the firewalk... Will be interesting to compare them both with Tony Robbins whenever I manage to get to see the big man.
Was it worth going? Definitely, especially at my favourite price of free, which is what you'll get it for if you are referred by a previous attendee (like me - link here)! The next one is being held in September - why not go along and find out for yourself?
That was a good weekend - possibly gave you a high five.
enjoy your day
Best wishes
Danny

THE INNER COMPASS IS A POOR RELATION TO THAT WHICH CHRISTOPHER HOWARD GIVES FOR FREE, ANYHOW ISNT IT TRUE THAT THE LITTLE GUY, Andy harrington HAS SOLD THE COMPANY,he makes you believe that you can smash a block of wood by the power of mind a cheap trick especially when he turns the blocks around my one laugh was when a guy hit it so hard he smashed through the block of wood and hit Andy in the face START TURNING THE BLOCKS OF WOOD THE RIGHT WAY ROUND, ITS A CHEAP STUNT AND SO IS ROBBINS FIRE WALK SEMINAR. I,m not a big fan of Either these days having all of big Tonys products. and atended his courses all around the world,I had a great job and I that I could afford it. and it is not cheap, how do you think he got rich. Much to my regret I have to say that my Particular hero Tony is now a rich Very fat slob, read his first books which has a real flavour of success in them, then read the one book of Christopher Howard, called "Turning Passion into Profits" a total crib in my mind from the works of Richard Bandler and Paul Mckenna another two Magicians who have lept on the back of the self impovement lobby, although I have got to say RICHARD SEEMS TO MAKE THE MOST SENSE NOW-A-DAYS.
mY CHOICE IS TO GO ON Chris Howards tour de force 3 days but please dont be convinced to part out with any more of your money to this smoothie
